This dress is easy to slip on (without having to use the zipper). The fit is a little long if you are on the short side. I am 5'3" and wear a size 8, but this dress comes well below the knee (short-people problems). This isn't a problem for me since I don't mind "tea-length" dresses. The quality of the velvety finish is a bit unusual in that the knap is backward. You should be able to run your hand down to lay the knap down instead of up. It's still comfortable, the neckline isn't low enough to show any cleavage, and the arm area is not restrictive. Overall, a nice dress for the price.
